We have an exciting new opportunity for you to work in our Watford based procurement team as an oil and gas buyer, creating relationships with existing customers to ensure that Storm Procurement is the first company contacted with any customer requirements. This new buyer will also be supporting the Sales Manager and Procurement Manager by taking incoming calls from prospects or customers and dealing with any enquiries or queries they may have.
Working with our oil and gas clients and supporting all their procurement requests, ensuring all RFQs (request for quotations) are quoted within the stipulated timeline.
Supporting our Oil and Gas team with the procurement of materials
Daily processing of RFQs on internal SAS system
Liaising with suppliers/manufacturers to identify the best pricing for materials
Liaising with our Sales Manager and Procurement Manager to ensure all projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Researching new products and identifying new suppliers
Handling large pricing exercises for oil and gas companies
Obtaining pricing from potential new and existing suppliers
Negotiating for the best pricing deals and establishing trading terms
Establishing trading accounts
Negotiating and obtaining discounts and trading terms acceptable for the company
Securing additional discounts where required
Placing orders with suppliers and assisting with expediting when necessary
University Degree: 2:1 desired
Some knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry (though this isn't essential)
Excellent communication skills and a confident manner
A proactive approach to telephone calls
Good IT skills in the use of Databases and Microsoft Office
A strong sales/customer service background
Good organizational skills
Works well under pressure
Strong attention to detail
Additional languages are an advantage, but not required
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.
Working in our Watford (England) office.
