Since becoming an Account Manager at the beginning of this year, I have had the exciting opportunity to travel with the business. I recently returned from a trip to Guinea and attended the Symposium Mines Guinea conference with my colleague, Warren Kearns, from our South African Office.
Warren and I were the guests of the British Department of International Trade and had the honour of meeting with the Minister of Mines and Geology, his Excellency Mr Abdoulaye Magassouba. It was an introductory meeting which gave us the perfect opportunity to present to him what we do and the services that Storm provide. The prospect of the UK being involved with Guinea is something that is appealing to him along with the service that we can provide to help the mining industry. Alongside this meeting, we had the chance to meet the British Ambassador of Guinea.
The Symposium was a fantastic opportunity to network, despite its shaky start due to strong wind but we were happy to lend a hand to clean up. We were able to meet with new and existing clients alike together with our suppliers building stronger relationships all round.
The trip was an overall success and look forward to the prospect of travelling with the company again in future.
