Shaun Kimpton Promotion to Sales Director

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Shaun Kimpton to the new position of Sales Director.

Shaun joined Storm back in 2012 as a Sales Support role, and very quickly established himself as a vital member of staff. Over the past ten years he has pushed himself further and further and has played a key role in the success of our business. Shaun believes his Motivation, Drive, Patience, and Personable skills have been vital in his progression throughout the company.

His previous role as Head of Mining Sales had him managing the mining SA & UK team. This will differ to his new role as he will now be overseeing all sectors; Mining, Energy, New Business, and, Pumps & Accessories. Shaun is eager to get stuck in with his new role and to build on his understanding of all sectors within Storm. He is keen to work closely with our sales managers and implement new sales structures throughout the company to help streamline our approach towards sales; with his primary goal being to maintain and increase turnover and profit as he advances in this role.

We are confident Shaun will inspire those working closely with him as he started at Storm in a junior role and ten years later a director. When asked what he is looking forward to he demonstrated his altruistic attitude, “Mentoring others and assisting individuals to work through the ranks will be a key focus of mine.” His attitude toward Sales and Storm is next to none; He believes to be good at sales you must have a passion for it and advises to never give up. A quotation he was inspired by many years ago is one of Jordan Belfort’s;

“If you want to be rich, never give up. People tend to give up. If you have persistence, you will come out ahead of most people. More importantly, you will learn. When you do something, you might fail. But that’s not because you’re a failure. It’s because you have not learnt enough. Do it differently each time. One day, you will do it right. Failure is your friend.”
