In February our Business Development Manager, Slim Loghmari, went to Mauritania to visit our clients and meet possible new business ventures. This was our first client visit since COVID, so it was an exciting time for us to finally have face to face contact.

Our Trip to Mauritania

Travelling to visit our clients is always crucial for us as a business as we are based in the UK; We like to ensure we regularly visit our clients or potential clients as this allows us to get a better understanding of how our clients operate. We pride ourselves in giving our clients the best possible service, and we work hard in tailoring our processes in order to suit our clients’ needs wherever possible

This time around Slim visited new potential clients and discussed our core products. Every prospective client was astounded by our vast range of products and how much we can offer to them. Also discussed were the many services we offer and benefits of working with Storm and the value this can add to their business.

Storm’s local partners have been instrumental in the development and the growth of our name in Mauritania. Our partners contribution logistically & commercially coupled with a warehouse facility in Nouadhibou paved the way to winning new contracts and holding & managing local stock.

Slim visited Mauritania in the peak dry season, so while out there, he was hit with sandstorms which aren’t uncommon. Some days it was so strong, that the sun could only just be seen through the thick clouds of dust and smoke. He also enjoyed diving into some of Mauritania’s traditional delicacies such as spiced fish and even camel!

Not only did this trip provide key insights into how we are benefiting our clients, but also allows us the opportunity to communicate with prospective new clients. Overall, it was an immensely successful trip in which we are already planning when we will next be going over. We are excited to see where these current and new business ventures will lead us.
